What information we collect

The CHEW app may collect the following information:

• Study ID number
• Your user activity while using the CHEW app: such as screens viewed, time using the app, recipes viewed and favorited, recipe searches, wellness resources viewed, shopping list entries, meal plan entries, quiz responses, goal tracking entries, and coins and badges earned. 
• CHEW app settings: your selected notification settings and language.
• Selected user and family member profile information: age, role in family, dietary preferences.
• Your CHEW app download history: may include details such as the time and date of the download and unique Internet Protocol (IP) address of the phone you use to download the CHEW app.
  • An IP address is a numerical identifier that allows your device to talk to other devices on the internet. Depending on your internet connection, it may uniquely identify your device. We do not store your IP address in connection with your profile information and only store it for the purposes of logging access to our servers.

All data transmissions are secure. This means that no one is able to capture private information while it is being transmitted between your phone or our computers.
